Warhammer 40K Battle Gallery
Battle Gallery for October 2007

We've been away for while (summer) and the season is now upon us. Brian and myself tested tournament armies, the Chaos
boys were here in full force and John made an appearance with his Tyranids. Welcom back John! I made a bunch of new
terrain for the new season - a lava board, a ton of swamp foliage, more hills and some new non-pine trees.

The calm before the storms. The long view of tables one and two. Gaming Tables One and Two Gaming table number three, the river of lava. Gaming Table three
Here's a closer, top-down view of table one. New marshy/swampish terrain and foliage. Close up Swamp Full view of table two. Woodsy hillands. Gaming table two - forest
Antoher shot of the lavav table. I didn't get as many shots of this table in action as I would have liked - maybe next time. Lava table The combatants start setting up. Brian, John, Karl, Zach and Andy. I'm behind the lens of course. Necron Destroyers Await
Brian carefully measures his deployment zone - he needs all the room he can get. Imperial Guard Deploys Meanwhile on the other table...
Chaos vs Tyranids fight for table quarters.
Chaos versus Tyranids
Genestealers quickly advance on the Chaos army. Genestealers! An Orky Mob gathers behind a hill, waiting to charge into the Imperial Guard lines. Orky mob
Deployment - Orks VS Imperial Guard @ 1850 points. We're using Omega level rules so only infantry units are allowed to deploy. It get's mess quickly after reinforcements start arriving. Imperial Guard Deployed Deployment from the Ork point of view. Orks Deployed
Orks deployed against Tyranids. Guess what mistake I made right out of the gate. Yep - I'm tucked up against that front DZ line pretty tight. Orks versus Tyranids Ork deployment from the other side of the DZ. The bikes are the only thing that did anyting against the 'Nids, killing one of his Carnifex. Ork Bikers
Genestealers lead by the Broodlord attack! Poor orks never had a chance. Sneeky, sneeky! Tyranid back lines. He's using my gretchin proxied for hormagaunts. That's a lot of Hormagaunts. Tyranid Lines
What's that hiding behind that ruined building? A Carnifex? Carnifex in hiding. Ork cower in fear as they realize how bad it's gonna be. Ork Mob Huge
Necrons annihilate IG in the infernal lava flows on Drakkonus VII. I guess the mperium couldn't take the heat. Lava pits IG and Necrons Bloodthirster vs Bloodthirster? Anythings possible in th 40K Universe. (or can be explained with fluff...) Chaos vs Chaos
Chaos (Nurgle) and Chaos (Iron Hands) vs Imperial Guard and Orks. This is after deployment, Omega Level Rules. There are 11 Obliterators deployed on the Chaos side. Final Battle Even more green that orks? Guards and Orks with a grot screen line up. There's a lot of models there. Iron Hnads and Nurgle
From the dark side. Chaos DZ Chaos advances towards the objective (Take and Hold mission) after shooting up the grot screen. Objective jumping
Obliterators and Nurgle Lord looking for easy targets, and find them. Ork Mob Huge The living shield moves up as the objective takers gather around the Big Mek for safety. Grots Rush!
Stormboyz completely swamp nurgles henchmen. This was pretty cool. Stormboyz Chaos Space Marine line moves toward the objective with single mindedness. They look pretty confident in taking it. Nurgle Space Marines
The rest of the Chaos force rolls successfully enough to deploy the rest of the models... all Mutated, Possesed Predators and a Basilisk. IG will get there's onboard next turn. Impressive CHaos Layout.
