Big Mek Battle vs Uberdark – Wazdakka – Sneaky Painting Git

Shhhhh!!!!!! Can’t you see I’m sneaking off here to paint a little? Sheejus!

Got a little time tonight to put some paint down on Wazdakka. After schlepping trees and sod and bushes and mulch and…. for the last two weeks during nearly every waking moment, it’s nice to sit down, hunch over the bench with the iPod on and just ->paint<-. Nothing much, just some work on the front armor and his skin.

I’m going for a darker skin with a lighter, more dramatic highlight as I think it’s right for Wazdakka. I know most of my other character models are actually fairly bright according to modern day fluff but I think this just seems to fit him better – meaner somehow.

I have picked up a wet palette and against my better judgement, have decided to experiment and do trial stuff using Wazdakka. Nothing like a little pressure to get good realy fast, eh?

I’m not sure when I’ll have the next chance to sit down and paint, hopefully a couple hours at least over the weekend. We’ll see.

(p.s. you know how hard it is to force yourself to paint when there’s a brand new 55″ HD tv hooked up to a new BluRay player in the basement? Gotta finish him sooner!)
