Bomma After Snowstorm and Move
Had to dig a bit to find my thread…. Moved last weekend during a huge snowstorm. It sucked, big time. Glad that parts over though. What that does mean is I finally got the rest of the house in a state that I could set up my workbench without guilt.
We moved to an older house (1953) and it’s an absolute wonder. I get a spot in the basement for doing my messy construction work and the painting hutch will be in a fourth bedroom upstairs. Here’s the basic setup in the corner of the unfinished part of the basement.
The wall closets to the right contain all the boxes and large tubs of bits and terrain. It’s all pretty handy – especially with a nice roller chair. The cabinet on the left will become my airbrush station (as before) and I’ll be adding a pegboard backing above the desk for tools and I’ll be trying to build a way to store all the plasticard channel, strips and tubes to make them easier to see and get to.
Here’s a shot of the work bench. As I get more settled in and a bit more time, the lighting will get better as well. Eventually there will be power strips up each side of the desk and long gooseneck lamps to free up more work surface.
Not sure how much work will actually get done though. Right around the corner (and I don’t mean down the block – I mean right around the next corner of my basement) is Club D.O.A. Hole. Heheheheh.
An absolutely 1950’s, vintage basement wet bar. We’re looking around for an actual glass-doored beverage fridge and a keg fridge (like the Kegerator) to round it out. The neon under the bar is actually red and not pink as the pictures seem. We have some neon bar signs and a few more decorations at the other house but it’s pretty much set up. This should be fun for the 40K days and Apocalypse battles in the basement.
I did leave one box of supplies I need at the storage place, I’ll be picking it up this week. Soooo, this does mean the bommer is back in production! Yay!!!
Later!
