Gazghkull Part 3

Spent some time on Gazzghkull tonight (yay! no speed painting!). Finished off the head and started the giant iron gob. I took lots of photos for a step by step of how I did his jaw. I blocked out the check area with Deneb Stone first as it\’s easier to put the Skull White over that. After I put the Deneb down I realized I didn’t want the checks to come all the way up to the teeth, I wanted a visual separation between them so I painted black down to where I wanted it.

Then I did the teef. Based Mechrite Red then blended through > Scab Red >Red Gore > Blodo Red. Then a wash of Badab Black on the rivets. I always underestimate Badab Black so I had a lot of cleanup to bring the blends back to the Blood Red. From there it\’s Blood Red > Fiery Orange.

And here’s where I’m left after tonight. Extreme closeups are always harsh but I wanted to show the nitty gritty\’s here. I think he’s looking pretty good so far.
