Biggified Ork Battlewagon Pt 9

Got some time in this weekend and put most of it into fixing the ‘ard case. Lots and lots of time spent fiddling around with paper cutouts to get the spacing/sizing right so the four corners fit in the same places, but it’s done. The open center hatch area on the original has been closed off for a couple of reasons. One, it’s supposed to be enclosed, it’s hard topped. Two, it makes it easier for me to just paint something there and drop the Kill Kannon on top as well without having to worry about the open spaces caused by my expansion.

I know there’s a lot of other stuff I haven’t attended too yet – the details behind the ram, the edges of the ‘ard case need something as they’re pretty flat and boring next to the rest of the surfaces. The back end is in desperate need of some detailing as well. I’m going to dig through the bitz box again for something jaggy to put there like some kind of steel awning/overhang to give the troops firing out the back some cover.

I’ll most likely use the turret assembly that came with the battlewagon for the kill kannon but I’m not sure what I’ll do for a barrel. I’ve got a barrel from a Baneblade that I might use, or I might scratchbuild a fat, short barrelled thing. We’ll see when I get there.
